Banna Developments have adopted the following planning and design principles for the proposed development of the site:

§         To provide a modern contemporary development that sets a precedent for a high standard of design for future developments that occur in the Town Centre as a result of the drafting of the Eastwood Town Centre Masterplan;

§         To increase activity and surveillance of the Town Centre, particularly along Rutledge Street;

§         To improve the public domain and encourage people to activate the public surrounding spaces;

§         To provide a co-ordinated development that carefully integrates the retail, commercial and residential uses;

§         To provide a high quality retail space that provides an alternative market type shopping experience for local residents;

§         To provide local level retail facilities that do not compete or undermine designated regional centres;

§         To provide excellent quality residential apartments that achieve a high level of amenity for future occupants;

§         To increase the amount of landscaping on the site and provide a range of passive and active recreational spaces for occupants; and,

§         To create a sustainable development which is energy and water efficient.
